Sunspots are Quiet!

The solar disk this morning displays four numbered sunspot groups, however all of these sunspots are quiet and pose little threat for strong solar flares. And Spaceweather.com reports: New data from Europe's Solar Orbiter show that a massive farside sunspot group first detected last week is now dispersing. The sunspot has not produced an X-flare in five days, and even M-class flares are becoming scarce. This sunspot may pose no danger to Earth when it turns toward us this weekend.

103mm Jagers refractor, Badder Planetarium safety prism, using neutral tensity and a solar continuum filter, Losmandy GM-8 mount. Cannon 80D camera. 650 FL @ prime focus. I am proud of this dedicated solar telescope as I made it myself around a used Jagers objective lens, bought on e-bay that had damaged coatings. A Moon Lite focuser, a Baader Planetarium Herschal Wedge. It has become my favorite telescope for sunspots!
