The Boulder Batholith Natural Rock Formations

Deep in the heart of southwest Montana is the Boulder Batholith which extends from Helena to Dillon, Montana. I love to hike the area and use pareidolia to see pictures in the natural rock formations. Giving them names is also fun. Much research has been done by Montana Tech and other geological institutions, and geologists about the batholith. It's amazing how the forces of nature carve the rocks into formations and blocks. If you look closely, you can see signs of what is to come, blocks being made into smaller blocks. Isn't it amazing? Geology Rocks!!
