Flying Lobster

I know spring is here when I spot my first Snowberry Clearwing moth—often called a "hummingbird moth" or a "flying lobster". This one was gathering nectar from a native plant, Astragalus pectinatus. His long, straw-like proboscis is perfect for sipping nectar from these tubular flowers.
