Fireflies in the observatory

This evening I spotted the first firefly of the season and remembered this image, taken in June 2014 at the FOAM13 astronomical observatory in Tradate, in the middle of Parco Pineta, a vast green area subject to environmental protection. And of course, there were plenty of fireflies. Unfortunately, their numbers have declined in recent years, due to a variety of reasons related to pollution, including light pollution.
