Saguaro Moon

On 05/01/2026 08:07 pm by John Ashley | Tucson, Arizona, USA

May's full "Flower Moon" brings forth saguaro blooms. The flowers open at night and close the following afternoon, staying open less than 24 hours. They're pollinated by bats at night and birds during the daytime. Saguaros don't begin to produce flowers until they're 50-75 years old.
