4425 is quiet but 4428 is growing!

Solar activity is quieting as sunspots on the solar disk lose their magnetic complexity. Sunspot 4425, in particular, has completely stopped flaring in the past 48 hours.

Solar activity has returned to low levels as many of these sunspots have stopped flaring. However new sunspot 4428 merits watching, though, because it is rapidly growing. As seen to me this morning and reported by Spaceweather.com

103mm Jagers refractor, Badder Planetarium safety prism, using neutral tensity and a solar continuum filter, Losmandy GM-8 mount. Cannon 80D camera. 650 FL 12.5 mm eyepiece. I am proud of this dedicated solar telescope as I made it myself around a used Jagers objective lens, bought on e-bay that had damaged coatings. A Moon Lite focuser, a Baader Planetarium Herschal Wedge. It has become my favorite telescope for sunspots!
