Southern region of the Moon with the Rupes Recta
On 04/25/2026 09:26 pm by Roberto Ortu | Website | Cabras, Sardinia, Italy
This is a photo of the Moon showing a region very rich in craters and details. On the left, we see the southeastern part of Mare Nubium, containing the Rupes Recta, a fault approximately 150 kilometers long and up to 500 meters high. The structure overall resembles the shape of a sword due to the small mountain range at its southern end.
