The Lagoon and Trifid nebulae
On 04/19/2026 04:00 am by Shaurya Salunkhe | Website | Pune, Maharashtra, India
In the image, I have captured the Lagoon and Trifid nebulae. Located 4100 light years away in the constellation Saggitarius, this is an active star forming region with a strong emission in the H-Alpha spectrum. This along with their close proximity make them some of the brightest nebulae in the night sky often visible to the naked eye from dark sites.
