This photograph captures Comet C/2025 R3 PANSTARRS shining above a Himalayan valley in the Doda district of Jammu & Kashmir, India. Taken near dawn under cold, clear conditions, the comet appears above the mountain ridges with its long, faint ion tail stretching across a sky filled with background stars.

The foreground shows layered hill silhouettes with scattered village lights, offering a sense of place and scale. A slight atmospheric glow near the horizon contrasts with the darker, clearer upper sky, where the comet’s tail becomes more distinct. The scene reflects the quiet stillness of early morning in the mountains, where the landscape and sky come together in a single frame.
