Sunspot (AR4416) is starting to grow
On 04/12/2026 10:56 am by Victor Rogus | Website | Sedona, Arizona, USA
Mostly cloudy skies here in Sedona this morning. Solar activity is low. There are three sunspots on the solar disk today. Their magnetic fields are simple and too stable for explosions.
However, one sunspot (AR4416) is starting to grow and could pose a threat for Earth-directed solar flares in a day or so if its development continues. Through the clouds, AR4416 was still clearly visible
