Sunspot 4409
On 04/03/2026 09:38 am by Victor Rogus | Website | Sedona, Arizona, USA
The sun has many sunspots transiting the solar disk this morning. Sunspot 4409 has a 'beta-gamma' magnetic field that harbors energy for M-class solar flares. Many sunspots are departing and were not visible to me, but the most active is AR 4409 as seen to me through fair skies.
103mm Jagers refractor, Badder Planetarium safety prism, using neutral tensity and a solar continuum filter, Losmandy GM-8 mount. Cannon 60Da camera. 650 FL 12.5 mm eyepiece.
