The Winter and Summer Milky Way — captured in a single night!

We see different parts of the Milky Way throughout the year. But once each year there’s a brief window when both the Winter and Summer Milky Way can be seen in the same night.
These two images were taken just hours apart, capturing that rare overlap.
On the left is the Winter Milky Way, featuring Orion, Sirius, Andromeda, and Taurus, with the Zodiacal Light shining bright.
On the right is the Summer Milky Way — the bright, dense heart of our galaxy — stretching from Cygnus down through Sagittarius.
As a night sky lover, there’s nothing quite like capturing, both arches of the Milky Way in a single night!
