AR 4399 makes its debut
On 03/22/2026 09:45 am by Victor Rogus | Website | Sedona, Arizona, USA
Quite cloudy here in Sedona, but despite that I was afforded a look at a new sunspot. Through the thickening clouds I saw AR 4399 make its debut. AR 4399 has a stable magnetic field that poses little threat for strong solar flares.
103mm Jagers refractor, Badder Planetarium safety prism, using neutral tensity and a solar continuum filter, Losmandy GM-8 mount. Cannon 60Da camera. 650 FL 12.5 mm eyepiece.
