As seen to me this morning, the solar disk displays only two numbered sunspots, The largest, most active one is AR4392 and the magnetic field of that has decayed and no longer poses a threat for M-class solar flares.
A CME hit Earth's magnetic field on March 20th (2053 UTC). The impact deflected a USGS (US Geological Survey) magnetometer in Boulder, Colorado, by 56 nT--a significant jolt. Soon after the CME arrived, a strong G3-class geomagnetic storm ensued with auroras across northern Europe and Canada.
("56 nT" often refers to 56 nanoTeslas, a unit of magnetic flux density frequently used in geomagnetic measurements.)
