HAPPY EQUINOX !! The Equinox came just 35 minutes after sunrise, assuring very long shadows for the Woodland Polar Sundial. Since a polar sundial is parallel to the axis of the earth, it is analogous to a horizontal sundial on the Equator. This means the shadow of the gnomon will track west-east all day long.
