The last crescent of Ramadan from the UAE

This delicate waning crescent marks the final morning of the holy month of Ramadan. I photographed it at dawn from the United Arab Emirates as the Moon rose softly in the brightening twilight sky. At the time of imaging, the crescent was about 8 degrees above the horizon, revealing a thin arc of sunlight along the lunar edge.
