A Mechanical Eye in the Night
My companion of many dark nights, my friend through countless hours of solitude—no, no, not a person, just a simple machine—doesn’t work quite the same anymore these days. In a way, you could say it was one of my eyes.
Oh no, nothing extraordinary—just an ordinary Android phone, a Redmi Note 10 Pro Max. Now it can’t even make phone calls. And when I say “eye,” I really mean its camera. With this camera I have taken photographs night after night. Even now, many star trail images and a few Milky Way shots captured with this phone still remain unpublished.
Of course, we see beautiful images taken with expensive cameras every day. But the thought that even this simple mobile phone can produce photographs that satisfy my heart makes me immensely happy.
These days I mostly keep it for shooting small reels or videos—sometimes timelapses, sometimes star trails. Not bad at all, I would say. Whenever the sky is clear and dark, it’s always worth capturing a few frames. What do you think?
