M82, the Starburst galaxy

M82 had a gravitational interaction with its larger neighbor galaxy M81, which funneled large amounts of gas towards the core of M82, which in turn triggered intense star formation, at a rate ten times faster than in our Milky Way.

Telescope: Apertura 6-inch Classic Cassegrain with Baader Alan-Gee reducer, which brings it to f/7.1, 1085mm focal length
Camera: ZWO ASI 294MM Pro Camera, cooled to -10 Celsius
Mount: SkyWatcher EQ6R-Pro
Guiding System: Bellavia Basic 50mm, f/7.5 guidescope with ZWO ASI 290MC camera
Mele mini-computer, using APT and PHD2 for capture and guiding, and SharpCap for polar alignment

12 hours of integration, comprised of 4 hours of Ha and 2 hours each of L-RGB.
H-alpha and Red were combined onto the red channel, followed by a fairly standard L-RGB combination
