Winter Earth & Sky at Mount Carleton Provincial Park
On 03/06/2026 09:30 pm by Stephane Picard | Website | Mount Carleton Provincial Park, New Brunswick, Canada
Stargazing event for Mount Carleton Provincial Park during March break. Many stargazing enthusiasts dropped by. Most were snowmobilers. Near the end, we deployed our camera and took night sky shots and some light painting, resulting in many great images, including this one of Stéphane Picard (Cliff Valley Astronomy) and Amanda Ward Parish (Mount Carleton Provincial Park). In the image, the Ice Dome had a red light inside and increased in brightness while preserving the details of the people in the foreground and the stars in the background, with Orion dominating the Southern sky.
10 mm Sygma Lens on Canon T1i with intervalometer on Neewer tripod. Camera settings ISO 3200 F4.0 25 second exposure.
