Tropical winter sunset

This photo was taken looking due west, 25 minutes after sunset with the sun six degrees below the horizon, right at the beginning of nautical twilight. The golden hue reached its peak at this precise moment, and this image is the best from a handful I made. This view of a clear, transparent sky is typical of the tropical winter here in the Caribbean. Like in most Caribbean islands, my location in Puerto Rico goes through dry season during late winter, right about this time of the year.
