Last week, I was photographing ladybugs and watching my alliums emerge...that's what you call 'false spring' in Alberta. This week, I could skip my workouts because of all the snow shoveling I had to do. And cold! Well below 0 Farenheight. It took about two seconds for these intricate frost patterns to form on my bloodhound cookie cutter, which I'd dipped in a dish soap-and-water solution. By then, my fingers were frozen, and it was time to go inside.
