I captured this auroral corona above in the Vesterålen archipelago of northern Norway. The display erupted overhead and all around (360 degrees) with fast‑moving rays and intense, colorful structure, forming a full corona directly above me. It was one of the most dynamic auroras I’ve witnessed, with the sky shifting from calm arcs to a sudden burst of motion in seconds. I think this one looks a bit like a butterfly opening its wings!
