Moon in the Teapot Asterism.

I had a plan to go all the way out to my observatory in "DarkSkyLand" and spend the night to get this in the morning, because it was so low to the horizon that I didn't think I could get it from home. Then I learned that the valley fog was creeping over the hills out there, so I gave up on the shot. This morning I was walking up the outdoor stairs and realized I could get it from the upstairs landing with a hand-held camera. So I worked fast. It was getting on to dawn very quickly.

Handheld (steadied my elbow on a railing) Nikon P1000 and nothing else.

I clone-stamped out the blown-out moon and subbed in one taken at a much faster exposure. Brightened the Teapot stars slightly, but not much. They really stood out at that hour.
