During extremely cold weather I took a walk along the Mississippi River to watch the ice flow downstream. The river level had dropped quickly and had left the most beautiful ice formations on existing logs and piers. This was much more interesting to see than watching ice slowly proceed downstream. Glad I was there when this occurred because it was gone within 2 days after a warmup.
