Thor's Helmet

I love this little nebula - it's got a great mix of colors and an interesting structure. It's fairly low in the sky for me, so I can only shoot for a couple of hours at a time -- well worth the effort!

Explore Scientific 8" Imaging Newtonian telescope, ZWO ASI533 MC Pro camera, iOptron GEM45 mount.

Stacked and edited in PixInsight with additional tweaks in PaintShop Pro to bring out the colors, and Topaz DeNoise to smooth the image.
