Swooping in to join you!

This male Northen Cardinal is enjoying a bite to eat - but if you look carefully to his right (as we view the picture), you can see his female partner swooping in from high-to-low to join him!! She looks like a lawn dart!

I have watched them for the past year and they seem to really avoid straight-ahead, midair flight, choosing bush and tree cover as much as possible...
