The above image is a stack of 293 individual shots taken in the same number of days during 2025, that is, 34 more days that in 2024, given that there were fewer overcast days, particularly in april, june and september. The sunspots are more or less homogenously distributed in an roughly 50° wide band, there is no a sunspots free band in the equator. Despite the rise in the number of images, there does not seem to be a corresponding increase in the number of sunspots, which is consistent with the peak of this cycle 25 having ocurred july/august 2024 .
