I often see a pair of squirrels that clearly spend time together – chasing each other, feeding side-by-side, and touching each other without aggression which is very unusual behavior. Are they a mother and her offspring? Or siblings? Today, one of the pair picked up a mango pit. Although there was another pit on the ground, the second squirrel ran after the first, either begging for the pit or trying to take it away. They both ran to the other side of the tree, and then reappeared, but I don't know if the first one managed to keep the pit, or if the other one took it.
