What is that just below me?
On 11/11/2025 09:50 am by Randy Strauss | Walnut Creek Lake, Nebraska
We have a lot of hawks in eastern Nebraska, and Red-tails are the most common. They usually keep their distance from humans, but this one was so interested in some movement in ground cover next to me that it landed so closely I couldn't frame all of it in my lens. It continued to ignore me until it gave up on whatever was in the ground cover and moved to a better hunting spot.
