Looking me over.

A pair of male and female bald eagles have used the same nest for the previous five years, with their eggs hatching in late winter. The parents raise the eaglets and they fledge in May. Last year all three eaglets successfully headed off on their own in June and by then were almost as big as their parents. Last month during a warm spell I returned to check on the nest, and saw the parents cleaning house, preparing the nest for yet another season. This one became curious, took a detour from bringing sticks to the nest and flew directly over me.
