Another photo from our stretch of warm weather last month. We rarely see any pelicans at Walnut Creek Lake here in eastern Nebraska, but four appeared in November and stayed for about ten days. Every morning they'd take off, perform a nice air show and return. One day they took off, headed south, and that was that. These three excelled at formation flying.
