The Orion Nebula (Messier 42) is a bright emission nebula located about 1,350 light-years away in the constellation Orion. It spans roughly 65×60 arcminutes and has an integrated magnitude of about 4.0. Gas ionized by its central star cluster renders its characteristic mix of prevailing red Hα emission and bluish-green [O III] light. The photos were taken with a Seestar S50 telescope (total exposure time of 95 minutes) on Dec. 5, 2025 under skies strongly illuminated by the supermoon (98% Full).
