A comet and a coat hanger
On 12/03/2025 06:30 pm by Steven Bellavia | Website | Smithfield, VA
Last night, comet C/2025 T1 (ATLAS) was passing by the Coat Hanger, or Brocchi's cluster.
Also note in the image, is open cluster NGC 6802, to the right of the coat hanger.
If you've never seen the coat hanger, you might be able to see it naked eye, but it is best in binoculars, currently sideways and towards the bottom of Cygnus the Swan, or Northern Cross, in the early evening western sky
