Sh2-202 Large area of Nebulosity in Camelopardalis on border with Cassiopeia 2600 ly away

As described above this is a large object. I imaged this with the 2600 (aps-c size sensor) and the telescope was at 384mm focal length. If I do this one again I think I will use my Canon R and perhaps capture some of the Soul Nebula that is right next to it as well. It was fun to take this image because it is not often photographed. I imagine this is because it is so dim. And, it is so large and colorful I just couldn’t resist. There is just so much in space we don’t realize is out there. Way more fun to ponder this than some of the other options available!

This is my first time imaging this object. It is described as relatively dim. Some describe it as 4deg x 3 deg in size, quite large. It is primarily red in color so I imaged both with the camera alone (uvir) and again with an Askar C1 filter to capture the red better. I blended the red from the C1 filter into the regular image for the final image. This was the first time I used this method for enhancing the red and it seemed to work quite well.
