The Pelican Nebula IC 5070 is one of the most photographed due to its characteristic shape that resembles the head and long beak of the famous bird. It is located in the constellation Cygnus, near the star Deneb, and is in the same giant molecular cloud as the North America Nebula. Within it are numerous star formations, mainly involving low-mass stars. Its distance from Earth is approximately 1,800 light-years. The photograph was taken from Campo Cecina (Carrara) with 300-second shots for a total of approximately 10 hours
