Crimson Sky Waves

I photographed this sunset in West Virginia and noticed a row of wave-shaped clouds along the horizon. These appear to be Kelvin–Helmholtz clouds — the kind that form when two layers of air move at different speeds and create a rolling, wave-like pattern. The bright reds and purples from the setting sun lit up the billows and the layered clouds above, making the whole scene look surreal.
