What a surprise!!! I don’t know how I became interested in this area. I was shocked at the colors and size of this region (this was taken with a ASI2600MC Pro, an aps-c size sensor) and at a focal length of 384mm. That is a wider field than I use a lot of the time. Next year I am going to take this with a wider field lens and/or my Canon R.
The name for this one is challenging. o Per Cloud is the name sometimes giver to this region. IC 348 is also an identifier. The prominent star in the pic carries many names: Omicron Persei A (for which o Per must be shorthand), Rolled Tongue V, HIP 17448 and others. It is quite close to the California Nebula that I plan to take pics of when I am done with this. So this is located in the Perseus Constellation.
There are so many exciting and unusual things out there in space. To infinity and beyond!

This was relatively straightforward to develop. Once I got into the process the colors started to pop out. I increased the intensity a bit but not that much. Part of the reason I got this much color must be that I had just under 16 hours of exposure. Sure paid off for this pic.
