What happens when two giant space blobs race out from the sun to meet in cosmic battle like Godzilla vs Mothra? One devours the other, creating a super massive GARGANTUAN space blob that fries the Earth’s atmosphere and squirts ludicrously beautiful superbnatural color all over everything!

Normally I view and photograph auroras out this north-facing bedroom window. But last night, we HAD to step outside! Well worth shivering in the cold to see the Pleiades shining through a veil of ethereal color.
