Saturn's Titan and Rhea special visit as rings fade
On 11/06/2025 08:50 pm by Brian Martin | Website | Riverside CA USA
Above average seeing tonight awarded me with Saturn’s Titan and Rhea visiting each other. I missed the transit of Titan but noticed Rhea caught up with Titan giving a nice photo op. What was even more cool is Saturn’s icy moon Enceladus is center stage nestled in the ring’s shadow which allowed the tiny moon to be brightly visible along with a tiny shadow top left of it. I can tell Saturn’s distance is increasing quite a bit and the rings are incredibly thin. They should get a bit thinner but not much. I would say this is my best photo for the transits and thin rings this year.
