big, complex, active spot AR4274 is hammering the sun neighborhood with highly energetic M and X class flares, the Kp index went up to 6 and a G2 geomagnetic storm was underway; as this sunspot separated from the limb, it has become observable with protected eye alone: in the southern hemisphere it appears close to the 5 o'clock limb in the morning sun and the field rotation takes it to the 1 o'clock limb in the afternoon
