Waxing Gibbous Moon

On 11/03/2025 12:05 am by David Hawkes | South Yorkshire, UK

The Moon is a powerful reminder of the wonder of the heavens. It’s our closest natural neighbour, and the beauty of capturing it is it may be the same object but the phases create an infinite entropy that results in every image of it being unique. Here, we’ve captured a crater with one side illuminated in a sea of darkness.

Skywatcher 200P 8” Newtonian, Antares 1.5x Barlow lens, Baader UV/IR cut filter, Nikon Z7 II.

Registax 6 and minor crop edits.
