Pacific Standard Time has arrived

Don’t forget to move your sundials back one hour! Fortunately, like your cellphone, the Woodland Polar Sundial has an autocorrect. This was taken at 8:00:05 AM today. The gnomon shadow is right on the 8 AM PST/ 9 AM PDT analemma, which defines the shadow’s course at that time over the course of a year. It is also near the 11/1 metal ball marker. Since the northern hemisphere sun has been racing farther south each day after the Equinox, the shadow is farther north of the horizontal aluminum Equinox declination bar. Its northward shadow track will slow down as the December Solstice arrives. Woodlandpolarsundial.com
