Cloud Waterfall
On 10/25/2025 10:56 am by Sheryl R Garrison | Website | Waterton Lakes National Park, AB Canada
A cloud waterfall is a rare treat! This image was taken from Waterton Lakes National Park in AB, Canada, but the peak sporting the cloud waterfall is Chapman Peak in Glacier National Park, Montana. It was a short-lived phenomenon created by several factors—mountain slope, moist lower atmosphere that flows upward and condenses on a peak under clear skies. Watching it flow down the mountain was spectacular. The last time I spotted one was decades ago on Table Mountain in South Africa.
