Heart Nebula in Cassiopia 7500 ly away, Fish Head Nebula lower right

The Heart Nebula, 7500 ly away, is such a classic. It is a relatively large (used 384 focal length), bright object and it looks so much like a heart. The Fishhead Nebula in the lower right is about 6000 ly away. One of these days I will have to photograph just the fish head. It really does look like one. This version shows more detail than my previous versions. Such fun exploring space.

PixInsight 100%.

What was most interesting to me for this one is the Seti Statistical Stretch gave me much more realistic color to process this photo. I typically use 5 different methods for initial stretching because often the results are substantially different. As an example GHS in colour mode or Archsinh Stretch often give be better results especially for dimmer objects.

Learning PixInsight has been a struggle in so many ways and there is no question it has substantially improved the details I can extract from my pics.
