Big Dipper and Little Dipper

The two front stars Dubhe and Merak of The Big Dipper are called Pointers. They point to the bright North Star Polaris. If you find the North Star you are facing north. The North Star stays put close to the north celestial pole while other stars around it move, thus it is very useful navigation tool.
