Messier 31, the Andromeda Galaxy.
Captured this image from a bortle 4 site during a recent camping trip. Was able to get 3 hours on the target, which was sufficient to reveal the faint dust lanes and out halo of the galaxy. The galaxy is 2.5 million light years away, heading straight for the Milky way and is dedtined to combine with it in approximately 4 billion years. Its 3 times larger than our galaxy with roughly a trillion stars. Its satelite galaxies Messier 110 and Messier 32 and also be seen in the image.
