Comet C/2025 A6 Lemmon in morning twilight
On 10/19/2025 05:23 am by John Ashley | Green Valley, Arizona, USA
Comet C/2025 A6 Lemmon rises into the morning twilight beyond Mount Wrightson (right), highest peak in southern Arizona's Santa Rita Mountains. The comet was discovered in January and orbits the sun once every 1,350 years, thus a real once-in-a-lifetime sight. The Smithsonian's MMT Observatory is visible on top of Mount Hopkins (left).
Nikon D750 with 200mm lens
Adobe Bridge & Photoshop. Blended 30-sec exposures, guided the sky and unguided for the mountains.
