The Harvest full Supermoon
On 10/07/2025 12:32 am by Roberto Ortu | Website | Cabras, Sardinia, Italy
On the night between 6 and 7 October, thanks to the excellent conditions of the sky, I took some shots of the Moon in the full phase, then I processed them and I assembled the resulting images to form this mosaic. I then increased the color saturation to show the different chemical composition of the lunar regolith. Due to a slight increase in apparent diameter, caused by the shorter distance, this is called the Supermoon and the next one will occur on November 5, with our satellite being even closer to perigee, to the point of minimum distance from us.
