Moon Occults Pleiades

A very challenging image. I'm even tempted to call it a fool's errand. Of course when a bright moon occults something much dimmer, like the stars in the Pleiades, its brightness obliterates the stars. So I took about 250 images at five different exposures to create a composite. A fun project.

Takahashi Epsilon 130D scope, Tak extender, Nikon D810A, Astro-Physics Mach2 tracking mount.

Unfortunately, lots. This is actually a composite created from about 250 stacked images in five different exposures. I also had to brighten the stars, even after all that.
