SH2-132, also known as the Lion Nebula, is a large, faint H-II emission nebula in the constellation Cepheus, located about 10,000 light-years away in the Perseus Arm of the Milky Way. It is rich in star clusters and dark dust regions, with its gas being energized and made visible by the intense ultraviolet radiation from massive, hot stars within it.
